LA COVA TALLADA

If you love nature and the coast of Alicante, Cova Tallada is a destination you will love. This protected cave, located in the municipality of Jávea, at the foot of Cabo de San Antonio in the Montgó Natural Park, offers impressive arches and an enchanting natural pool. In the past, tosca was extracted from the cave to build some of the most singular buildings in Dénia.

Cova Tallada stands out for its steep shapes, cavities and waters full of life, ideal for exploring with diving goggles. However, its access has certain particularities and restrictions. In high season, it is compulsory to book a place through the official website of the Montgó Natural Park, and access in boats or jet skis is not allowed in order to protect the fauna and flora of the area.

To get to Cova Tallada, it is necessary to take a hiking route of about 45 minutes from Vía Láctea street in Dénia. The route is less than 2 kilometres long, but presents a medium-high difficulty due to the cliffy terrain. It is advisable to bring hiking shoes, water, food, sunscreen and booties for walking on the rocks.

Once in the cave, you will be able to enjoy the unique flora and fauna of the area, always respecting the environment. Cova Tallada is a unique spot on the coast of Alicante, perfect for a family adventure. cova-tallada-alicante-
